Citizens 4 Good is a recognition scheme that aims to highlight the good deeds, kindness and support that local people provide to other members of their community.
Citizens 4 Good, a joint initiative between Sefton CVS and the Mayor of Sefton’s Office, was established to recognise those people in Sefton who go that extra mile to help their local communities. From people who run community events and activities, to those who look out for their friends and neighbours, we want to hear about them.
Events take place approximately every 3 months, and previous events have taken place at Bootle, Southport and Maghull Town Halls.
Anyone can make a nomination for someone they think deserves to be recognised, and we would like to particularly encourage people to nominate people who have been outstanding friends and neighbours.
The next Citizens 4 Good awards will be:
Monday 8th July, Maghull Town Hall
Thursday 10th October, Southport Town Hall

NOMINATION FORM
Citizens 4 Good Guidance
- Individuals or groups may be nominated
- A person or group of people can only receive an award once within a 24-month period for the same reason
- The group or person you nominate must have done something worthy of nomination such as:
- going above and beyond in their role
- benefitted their community or beyond
- volunteered their time to benefit others, their community, nature or the environment
- saved or assisted in saving someone’s life
- helped neighbours or people in their community (e.g. shopping for those that can’t do it themselves)
- fundraising exceptional amounts for charity
- making a positive difference in someone’s life
- Please provide as much information as to the reason for nomination. The reason for nomination will be read out at the awards.
- Sefton 4 Good reserves the right to refuse any nominations we deem inappropriate
- Nominations should be submitted via the form above
- Individuals nominated must either live in Sefton or the activity they have been nominated for must take place/ have taken place in Sefton.
- Any groups nominated must be based in or most of their activities must take place in Sefton.
- By entering the Citizen 4 Good awards, the nominator and the nominee agree to be part of publicity associated with this. Each of the nominee’s names will be printed on our website, may be posted on social media and go out to local press
- Any individuals under the age of 18 must have their parent’s permission to attend the awards.
